A hobby turned into a side hustle, which became a locals favorite.
Meet Jessica
A self-taught cook, baker, and food photographer. Jessica’s love for food began in the kitchen at a young age watching and taste testing recipes with her father.
When a simple pimento cheese party appetizer created buzz from friends and family, Jessica officially launched Finicky Foods in 2022 from a hobby to a small business.
With sustainability in mind from the very beginning, Finicky Foods Pimento Cheese are in recyclable, and reusable, glass jars.
Jessica lives in Waxhaw, NC with her husband, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 5 chickens.
What We Care About
Sustainability
Before we even had a product line, the main focus was to be as sustainable as possible; by not adding more plastic to the world.
You can even exchange your jar for a discount on your next one at the Waxhaw Farmers Market.
Homestyle Texture
By using Duke’s Mayonnaise and Philadelphia Whipped Cream Cheese, we get to keep that homestyle chunky texture that’s not too “mayo-y” that you know and love.
Just let us to the mixing for you 👩🍳
Bold Flavors
Outside of our 7-flavor lineup we go above and beyond. When we see a new spice or think up a new combo, we go for it; testing out limited flavors at the Waxhaw Farmers Market.
Past hits have been Hot Honey Asiago, Cranberry Pecan, Taco, and more.
Vegan Options
While we are not vegan, gluten, or dairy-free, our friends are. Making a pimento cheese that wasn’t made of cheese is our biggest win to date.
Follow Your Heart products are our base, and we add our spices (and love), to make it a perfect replica of the “real” thing.
